Loni respects intellectual property rights and expects its users, authors, and publishers to respect those of others. This page explains how to report content that you believe infringes your copyright. It complements our Terms of Service and Legal Notice.
1. Our role
Loni acts as a distribution platform. Content is published by authors and publishers who warrant that they hold the necessary rights. We do not review every item up front, but we remove or disable access to content reported as infringing after review.
2. Sending a notice
Any rights holder who believes that content available on Loni infringes their copyright may send a notice to legal@helloloni.com.
To be processed, the notice must include:
- a precise identification of the protected work concerned;
- identification of the disputed content and its location (URL or reference) on Loni;
- your full contact details (name, email address);
- a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information provided is accurate and that you are entitled to act;
- your signature (electronic accepted).
3. How we handle it
After receiving a valid notice, Loni may:
- temporarily remove the content or disable access to it;
- request additional information;
- notify the author or publisher concerned;
- in case of repeat infringement, suspend or terminate the account concerned.
4. Counter-notice
The author or publisher whose content was removed may send a counter-notice to legal@helloloni.com, demonstrating that they hold the necessary rights or that the removal resulted from an error. Loni may then restore the content after review.
5. Misrepresentation
A knowingly inaccurate notice or counter-notice makes its author liable. Send a notice only if you are the rights holder concerned or are authorized to act on their behalf.
6. Governing law
This procedure forms part of our Terms of Service, governed by Ivorian law. It draws on the reporting and takedown best practices applied by content-hosting platforms.
